Chembra Peak

Chambra peak is regarded as one of the highest peaks in the Wayand hill ranges of the Western Ghat, and is located 14 km away from the Kalpetta. It is situated at an altitude of 2100 meter and adjacent to the Nilgiri Hills in Tamilnadu and Vellarimala in Kozhikode district in Kerala.

The Sharp rise of hills makes it the perfect location for trekking and mountain climbing. The trekking equipment can be hired from the District Tourism Promotion Council and permission from the Forest office of Meddapy is also necessary to climb the Chembra Peak. At the top of the peak, you can find a heart shape like lake, which is believed to be never dried up, is the hottest attraction of the peak.

For those persons who are die hard fan of Camping, temporary camps can be arranged from the District tourism Promotion Council which will be an unforgettable affair. Camp fire is the best option for enjoying the whole night with your soul mate as well as friends. Tourist can spend and enjoy mind boggling view from the top of the hill for one or two days. Further travelers across the world flock together for trekking and picnic which remains a memorable affair for the tourist.
